Fished Camp Hueco Springs today from about 11:30am - 3:30pm. Ended up with 3 Rainbow Trout, all on a 1/16oz white roostertail spinner. There were quite a few people out fishing today so it was tough to find good places to fish.

Hooking a fish is like playing string with a cat. The exact size, shape, color of string matters less than how you wiggle it- and little cats are easier to fool than big ones. John Gierach

I don't always catch fish, but when I do, I prefer Dos Hybrids

Saw quite a few people using powerbait. Everybody seemed to be catching at least a few fish.

Anybody else brave the cold & wind on the Guadalupe today? I got to Hueco Springs Camp about 9:00am and the North wind was howling. Caught two fish the first half hour I was there and then nothing for about the next three hours (lost one).

Great color on these fish.

Looking downstream above the waterfall.

I may go this weekend. I believe the last release is this Friday, for those looking to catch some trout.
