1. chartreuse pencil slab--good for sandies and hybrids
2. chartreuse swim bait-Moes 5 inch bass assassin-silver tipped with red--good for stripers and hybrids
3. chartreuse humdinger, large and small sizes-good gor sandies and hybrids
4.chrome topwater pencil popper---good for anything schooling
5.sandy candy, this trick taught to me by Ruben, good on any slab for that little extra bite and advantage.
I have used all of the above mentioned lures and baits, and they all work great. It is what you have the most confidence in that works best for you because that is what you personally use the most of.

Bravo, well said Justgettingby. I use your baits and brag on them and do not expect anything in return. Same for Humdingers. I joke and tease some on here but dead serious when it comes to well made lures that I trust.

In no particular order:
TNT 180, Silver holo w/ purple back, 1 oz CC spoon, 3/4 oz, chrome Humdinger, 3/4 oz pearl w/ glitter Jig Um's Tag-A-Long, white Cocahoe in pearl or glow
I pretty much stay with the shad imitators..

Generally speaking I fish with the same slab year round. Just a little over an ounce.I did'nt say I was smart. Johnny P.S. If on a lake with hybrids or stripers I will go to a 2 oz.

Most of the time I'll use a 2 ounce slab - seems to reduce the number of dinks that I catch. There are times where the smaller jig does work better though.

Ok now if anyone wants to add a little more info what is favorite size for a slab? 2oz here Different times of year I use different sizes. In the winter I use 1oz to ¾ oz for whites, I do not slab in the winter for hybrids/stripers. In the spring I use 1 oz slowly moving up to 2oz and in the summer for both whites/hybrids and stripers I use 2oz or sometimes 2.5 oz long prisms from TNT but have used 1 oz. Barlows use to carry the pencil looking slab that size (2.5 oz) but I have not been there in a while.

1. TNT slab - they all work 2. Lead babies slab - I prefer 2oz. Texoma special or Leprachaun 3. Bass Pro shops tail spin - gold is excellent on Tawakoni 4. Storm swimbaits - they are not making the regular swimbaits anymore. I prefer the chartruese or fire. 5. pet spoon - yellow feather
Holiday slabs gets an honorable mention. I don't have that much luck with them but my buddy David will outfish me with a white/red slab.
Hey I'll try anything if anyone wants to send me a sample.

They had to change plastics ( rubber material) , they also do not sell them in the six packs anymore...now it cost the same for just 3... but there is an alternative... HERE

I prefer the 5 and 6 inch and Bass Pro does not have any either. I was told at BPS that storm was not selling these anymore. They still list them on their website www.stormlures.com. I sent an email to the company but never received a response. I have been buying the crystal chartruese and firetiger when I can find them.

Yeah when you go to BPS they only list 3 packs?!?! Cabelas says they have 6 packs when you go to order them they aren't there--only 9 inch.
