We are going to have an open tourney on Lake Welsh on Dec 13th. The purpose of it is to raise money to purchase scales for the upcoming year, for the East Texas Divison of Texas Poormans. $50.00 a team, fishing from safe light to 3:00. 5 fish limit per team. 18" min. A maximum of 20% will be held out up to $400 for scales all the rest goes back to fisherman. If 40 boats, there will still be 1600 to divide. 1 place for every 10 entries. In addition there will be a $10 big bass pot per team which is optional.

We just got a set of scales donated and we will be having a 100% payback on the 13th. So see everybody there.

Don't know yet. Like to get a head count. I'll be there at 5:00, so once you get registered and boat checked you can go. Just don't start fishing until 6:30.

I'm definitely going to try and be there...my wife's company has their Christmas Party that night, but I should be back in plenty of time.

Now that we have scales for the up coming year we have lowered the entry to $30 per team, with 1 place paid every 5 entries, 100% payback.

Why lower the entry fee?

I was just thought that it would bring more fisherman out. Since we got the scales donated. I am just doing this for fun and to promote the upcoming East Texas Divison of Poormans. For example if we have 30 boats payout would be has follows: 1st-400 2nd-200 3rd-100 4th-80 5th-70 6th-50 big bass would be 300 based on 30 per team and 10 big bass pot. Payout is just about the same the fisherman are not paying for the scales now.
