The gene pool could use a little chlorine.

Why do you have to keep all Crappie caught out there from Dec-Feb? Are they overpopulated?

The reason for that rule is due to most of the crappie caught are coming from deep water. alot of the fish die when caught from these depths. TPW is just having you keep the 1st 25 fish you catch to keep a resource from going to waste.

They needed to start it alittle earlier this year. 3 weeks ago I caught quite a few 8 and 9 inchers in 30 feet.

Any recent updates to the crappie fishing on Fork? I have a 25' offshore boat with a little cuddy cabin in it that I might take out with the family after Christmas. Any suggestions would be VERY welcomed.

Thanks!

Cameron

I don't think there were any out there this weekend. If so they were nuts...The wind was riping out there Saturday...Like the last post I saw for Winter Crappies from Chuck...Look around in all depths even when the crowds are not...They're out there on the main lake points and around the dam right now...Bar fish are also hitting and they're good eaters smile
