I went at 10 am today, and Bill told me they had been up a little, but not the giants of yesterday. The sun came out no sooner than I got out, and the wind picked up. I was in at 11 to do some projects at home. Will be out for the 9th inning. Hope to see some of you there and on them already!! STEVE T Do you launch from 344?

Yes I do. BTW, it was kind of tough Saturday, with the sun coming out and the wind, but I went back out and got on a school for about 20 minutes. Not the day I had on Friday, but I believe with a 5 to 10 wind and cloud cover, it will be on most any day like that. Later STEVE T

I have spoken with you several times at the slips. I was going out as you were coming in Saturday. Stayed out until 5. Wasn't the most fun that afternoon, but hard to complain when you are on the water.

Went out today for an hour. Testing a new T-motor transducer protector I fabricated out of necessity. It is the bomb, and cost 10 bucks for pipe and epoxy. beats buying a new transducer and then a commercial protector. PM me and I will tell how to salvage a broken transducer. It is easy, and looks tricked out. The fish weren't so tricked out though. They tricked me. No luck on the Wipers. Let me know if they come up and where. I will be on Welsh or Brandy branch Saturday chasing my primary species, but will likely be out tomorrow for a while. Holler if you see me. Later, STEVE T

On my way to check out new prop, and see if the birds show me the way to a few line-stretchers. Will post up this evening. Later, STEVE T

Caught a few at Brookshire's area this evening. Not too many, but they were all 8 to 10 lbs., and I had one way over that on for over 3 minutes, and got it close before it was whipped, and it made a line breaking run. Oh well, there are more days to catch those big ones, and it is good to know there are some giants schooling this year. good luck!! STEVE T

If they are schooling, I prefer the storm 3" paddle-tail swimbait, in shad, green/black, or blue/black. Sassy shad in chartreuse have worked for others, and the old chrome/blue rattle trap gets them well, but all those hooks....Anyway, CC spoon if deep, or let the swimbait just swim down and bounce it. Good luck. STEVE T

The 3" and 4" sassy shad have been working best for me. But the 4" have been getting the larger fish. Good luck !

Hey Dawg, get some storm 3" paddle tail swimbaits in shad color or white with black back. They will hit anything when they are on like this, but it has one hook and no one should get hurt by trebles that way. These things should be up for a while, just look for the birds and/or the boats. If you see me, come on over and see whats up. They should hit the Sassy shad as well. A boat beside us was hooking up on chartreuse sassies, and another on chrome/blue rattle-traps. I think the kids would appreciate just dealing with one hook. It cuts down on the danger of hooking the wrong things. I know I prefer it. Good luck. STEVE T These are what they catch them on.

I've been having the best luck getting them on Sassy Shad, both the 3 inch and 4 inch. I'll be out there Saturday with my fishing partner trying to get back at them. Hope to see some of ya'll out there.

I went back out yesterday afternoon at about 3. That was a mistake cause the north wind started to get up a little and it rained. Steve, I think I saw you heading in (I should've took the hint). There was no action while I was there. Only thing I figured out was 2 holes in the crouch of my rain gear.
The earlier posts are dead on about the baits. They hit pearl and chartruese swimbaits, 4 inches. 3/4 or 1 oz heads superglued. Prefer the heavier heads so you can reach out and touch them. Got a couple on topwater but you had to hit dead center of the boil. These are what they catch them on. Sorry got tired of nobody really reading our post.
