Hey guys, I really got on them Tues at the brookshires camp area last hour of daylight. Today I found them on the last big point before the dam on left(before the public launch area). They were thick, and the bigger ones came in just before dark. I will be out tomorrow in a silver champion. Holler if you see me. Later

Couldn't stand it, after eating, I went back out and got into them again. Not as good as wed. but got a few. Its amazing to me, and I chase these things year round, living on the lake, that they just appear out of no where and it seems like we have thousands. They come out of the mud I guess? Maybe one of these days I can figure them things out!! At least its fun trying. Good luck this weekend.

OK gang, it's official. The Wipers are back in full force. Just got in after fishing from 9:30 to 3:30. The spot is main lake off Stone chimney point, and the school was moving over a half mile area. They were from 3 to 8 lbs, and total caught was 65 fish. My tournament partner came out with me, and the score was 33 to 32, my favor. I will concede he caught the biggest fish, and we left in a lull as it started to rain. They are probably biting right now. I will be back out tomorrow sometime. I'm in the silver 206 Champion, and if I am on I will tell you the truth, just come on over and join me!! It was a BLAST!!Later, and good luck. STEVE T

What are you catching them on? Sounds like fun. Me and my boys been trying to get on them for the last couple of weeks, with not much success on sassy's, little georges, rattletraps, jerking, caught a few nice ones, but few and far between.

Newby in Tyler.
Shout out to buddys Stripaholic and Parkenstein.

Hey Dawg, get some storm 3" paddle tail swimbaits in shad color or white with black back. They will hit anything when they are on like this, but it has one hook and no one should get hurt by trebles that way. These things should be up for a while, just look for the birds and/or the boats. If you see me, come on over and see whats up. They should hit the Sassy shad as well. A boat beside us was hooking up on chartreuse sassies, and another on chrome/blue rattle-traps. I think the kids would appreciate just dealing with one hook. It cuts down on the danger of hooking the wrong things. I know I prefer it. Good luck. STEVE T

I've been having the best luck getting them on Sassy Shad, both the 3 inch and 4 inch. I'll be out there Saturday with my fishing partner trying to get back at them. Hope to see some of ya'll out there.

I went back out yesterday afternoon at about 3. That was a mistake cause the north wind started to get up a little and it rained. Steve, I think I saw you heading in (I should've took the hint). There was no action while I was there. Only thing I figured out was 2 holes in the crouch of my rain gear.

The earlier posts are dead on about the baits. They hit pearl and chartruese swimbaits, 4 inches. 3/4 or 1 oz heads superglued. Prefer the heavier heads so you can reach out and touch them. Got a couple on topwater but you had to hit dead center of the boil.

I went at 10 am today, and Bill told me they had been up a little, but not the giants of yesterday. The sun came out no sooner than I got out, and the wind picked up. I was in at 11 to do some projects at home. Will be out for the 9th inning. Hope to see some of you there and on them already!! STEVE T
