Try the Blanco or kerrville state park .have stayed at both .Blanco has a swimming area and plenty of fishing.kerrville is the same.

for camping, its hard to beat inks,junction is nice camping too but the sites arent near the water. brownwood is nice and good white and crappie fishin, but was crowded when i went and was durin the week.
