I go between the DK blood and original and the Magic bait Stick It. I've got tons of catfish on all these baits, but they were on the smaller (1-5lbs) spectrum of the fish I've caught this year. For the bigger cats I belive you should use Shad but thats a different thread.

No I got a PM from Sharonwilson1 that said that I had too many pics for my sig and the bobcat was too offensive and they had been getting complaints from others. I'm looking for something that is'nt so offensive right now. I'm thinking hitler or osama bin ladin is that OK?

I'm just a miss placed catfisherman from the north...

But I've switched to Secret 7 from our "main" brand up here (Sonny's). IMO it works better...and I also like to support site sponsors. They keep the lights turned on!

PS Mr Deerstrangler, I didn't complain about your sig file...but I do remember seeing it for the first time and thought it took away from your informative post...just my 2 pennys worth. :-)

What was the size of the container the bait came in? Might make a difference when adding ingredients.
I never had much luck with dip baits but willing to try again to stir up some action where I fish.

How do you rig up for using dip bait or stink bait?

It ain't what they call you, it's what you answer to.... W.C.Fields

Capt'n WIngs, you can order J Piggs directly from Jerry Martin, he will ship it to you or if you are close to Stephenville, you can call and go by and pick it up.

How do you guys rig stink bait? Do you simply smear it on a grub with a treble hook and a float? Do you drift or troll? Lots of questions because it sounds like fun, and I may try. Typically I fish for Bass, but the kids do not have the patients. They might like reeling in a big cat. I usually catch them when I am fishing for something else, but catfish does taste might fine. I may go out and try for a some.

I highly recommend big marvs! great bait and great service when you order it too! I had some secret seven, it works but I sure make a mess with it, gets on everything and its real sticky...ended up stirring my secret seven in with some big marvs...and that worked REAL good. but big marv's without it works REAL good too. either way you cant go wrong, but big marvs is easier to use...just dunk a treble hook in and pull it back out...cast it out and wait, you wont have to wait long if there are any channels around. if you dont get a bite in 15 or 20 minutes, MOVE youre fishing where they aint.

hey team catfish, it would be cool if you offered secret seven with fiber so it can be used as a punch bait! or sell some fiber seperate that can be stirred in to it....just a thought....whatever that fiber is in the new danny kings would probably work good, anybody know what that is?

I use to try different baits all the time (up to 1982), but now that I have found Bill Rogers Cheesebait( a punch bait that Sure Shot is a copy of) I don't need to look any further. Last week my friend Dan and I got 14 real good Channels from 2lbs to 6lbs in 3 hours at Lake Arrowhead. fish

I rig my bait carolina rig with a set up I make my self. I bought about 7 feet of 1/2 inch clear tubing and cut small v shapes in the tubing every 1/2 inch. cut the tubing into 1 inch pieces and you are good to go. Put the line thru the tube and then tie on a #4 or #5 treble hook and slide the tube over the hook. when you bait it just put it into the stinkbait bait bucket with a stirring stick and pull it out. I never have to touch the set up or the bait and the 1/2 inch tubing holds a good amount. If you dont want to make your own Team catfish sells a nice set up with hooks and tubes. I prefer the ones I make cause they hold a little more bait inside and its alot cheaper for me since I have 7ft of tubing from home depot. Grandpa7562 I'm not sure what size the container I have for the primo but its the only size I've seen it come in, I would say about twice the size of container as chicken liver comes in.

I don't ever use stink baits, but the so called fiber you are asking for, looks to be nothing more than cat-tails that you break open. Break open a cat-tail that you find in the ditches and see if that won't sop up all your stinking slop.

I saw a container of danny Kings punch bait and that is what that fiber stuff reminded me of. Cat-tails.
