Crappie only live on the average of 3 years. Tell me how a fingerling can grow to be 7 lbs in 3 years. Even a Florida strain bass can't do that!
Been reading fairy tales again in my opinion.
Get rid of the trashy photos also and clean this place.

Spring Lizard, I don't know where you got your info about the average life span but in Texas, on average it takes 3 years for a crappie to get to the 10" legal size. The average life span is closer to 7-8 years.

Pictures ? If it was weighed, someone would have let the person that caught it know how special the fish was . So, I'm calling BS, until pictures surface. I fish Fork at least three times a week and have not heard about it.

I caught a 120lb flathead last summer on my ultralight....when I cleaned him, there was a 31lb black bass in his gut!.....and when I cleaned him, there was a 7lb white crappie in it......so what's the big deal? I didn't bother taking a picture....y'all believe me though right!?

I guess Bill Dance does not know what he was talking about on his show the other day. "According to research...a crappie only lives for about 3 years.
