Has to be the chicken fried steak in Zapata at the mexican rest. El Parasios, or something like that. The small was more than I could eat. Comes with good cream gravy and cheese. Yes cheese. I had never had it before, but it is awesome. When at Falcon you have to try it.

When Mary's is good and it usually is but I've been a few times when it was seriously bad it's the best CFS to be bought, in my opinion. When she's there and running the show, I think, obviously, it's the best. I've been there a few times when it was pretty damned bad. Every single time, though, the Shiner was cold and cheap.

Throughout the nineties I at El Paraiso a lot. It was fantastic. Our own TFF veteran RT has frequented this place over the years too. It was excellent and I'm sure it still is. In my younger days I always got the "special". It was a huge CFS with cheese gravy, a beef taco, rice and beans. Excellent! The next time I'm in Zapata I will certainly stop in.

I'll have to vote for (the old) Jody's in Temple. FYI I have never had a better than average CFS at Cotton Patch

I'll have to vote for (the old) Jody's in Temple. FYI I have never had a better than average CFS at Cotton Patch I have noticed that the food varies at different locations of the Cotton Patch. The one in Lake Worth is the best one that I have found.

Babes in Granbury is good. Massey's in Fort Worth is better. The Chicken fried Ribeye at Sweety Pies Ribeyes in Decatur is a good Hybrid....but for my dough after a long day of shootin dove and drinkin cold ones it's Mary's in Strawn. Heck just to rub it in I took a pic of the cfs a while back when I was there to send to a friend overseas. Remember Monday nights is all you can eat cfs at Mary's.

in Strawn about 1.5hrs west of ft worth. take 20 west to hwy 16 go north about 5 miles. If you make it to Ranger hill you have gone to far. Hwy 16 is just past a road side park just past Thurber.
worth the drive every time. Ate there for the millionth time this last Friday headed to Abilene dove hunting. It is by far the best CFS ever made.
the pix above is the med 1/2lb and for 1.5 more you can get another 1/4 lbs and then you got a snack when you get home.

Just got back 3 hours ago from Marys ----Im tellin ya thats the best i have ever had , I had the medium and i could not finish everything DANG THAT WAS GOOD
