Tues- Fished a night trip with Steven and Jeff over at Braunig. Fishin' was slow and ended up with 15 channels and 1 red for nights effort.Fished hard but just wasn't in the cards, lotta ribbin going on made up for some slow fishin' Always the pleasure Steve. Friday had a unexpected day off. Went out to Calaveras- Had some red hot red fishing. Caught 17 reds in little over hours time. Kept three , then went out for some kitties to bring in a mixed bag of 20 cats and three reds. Reds went from 22 inches to 35.5' and just at 19 lbs....should have been using some stronger tackle on the big boys...tried to release him but to no avail. Reds caught on assortment of artificials and cats and Marv's cheesebait. Alot of fun by noon! Sat-Calaveras Fished with Mike, Dick and Smokee and little Jack....my new fishing partner. Fishing was a little slow but we managed to put a good mess of fish in the box with 45 fish and 16 of which were blues. Jack is a trip and pleasure to have in the boat. Good times and good Laughs. Fish caught on shad with Team Catfish 5/0 circle hooks and rest on Marv's Cheesebait from 2-12 ft of water. Sun- Choke.Fished with one of my very first clients Keith Malish and girlfirend Holly and Vet friend Luke and son Brayden. Caught fish all morning before it just got plum hot out there around 2:30. Headed in with 70 fish for Team Crisco. Gotta love S. Tx. Fish caught in 10-24 ft of water.

Cripes, Cliff! I didn't realize how huge those reds were from the phone pic! They must have put up a major fight! Note to self: try Cally next time. Great report! By the way, I notice the lucky shirt. Steven

Thanks Guys ..alot of fun!
Jeff- Sure did and thank you! I like the slides and bumpers as well. Pretty cool to be able to change out weights with ease. The circle hooks are best I've used bar none. Thanks again Cliff

I had asked Cliff to take me to Braunig because the fish are always bigger. While we didn't slay them, I was still happy with the size of the fish that we did come across. Not a dink in site. It was a nice night and I was just happy to be out on the water. Learned a bit about trolling, so the trip was more than worth it. Do it again in a heartbeat. Steven
