MAN O MAN what a fish . Does more to me than pics of young naked women . I dream of this fish ever Sept and oct with ever mudfish I throw out .Biggest I ever caught was a 9 .03 lb. Just a heads up for catching big flounder this up comming fall run. Use large live mullet. Now what ever you are thinking of as large, think even larger. This summer I gigged a 21 inch flounder and when I got it to the cleaning table I discovered a barely digested, 8 inch mullet in its stomach and this flounder was obviously laying on a flat, waiting for more supper to come by. I am going to take a wild guess here and assume a truely large flounder, say 28 inches and 8 lbs can easily swallow and readily attack a mullet up to 12 inches long. Food for thought.
