whats the most catfish you've ever caught in 4 hours or less? if you say 30 your a liar unless they were caught at a fish farm.

I dont know exactly, but id have to say close to 30. And not at a fish farm! For several years in a row (minus this year) I caught the Catfish spawning up on the rocks at Tawak.... throwing live worms under a 3 to 4' bobber... I was tearing em up!

And... they werent monsters... but nice eaten size!

Larry, Youre right on about tawakoni! I was there in middle march with my 2 sons and my father in-law. We drifted the flats north of the bridge friday evening for about 4 1/2 hrs and we cleaned 80 in 2 to 5lb range. Saturday morning we fished from 7am to noon and cleaned another 90 about the same size. If anyone wants to catch catfish tawakoni is the place!!! Believe it or not. BTW the way Larry, did you use to be larry in graham?

Wow 170 fish in two days.. That is an awfull lot of fish to keep from one area in to days. Do you sell fish?

Bigblue, i usually do not keep that many fish at all. Just so happens we were having a fish fry at our church the weekend after this trip. My freezer was empty due to the fact that it decided to go out when we not home and lost all the fillets i had.

I've had several clients limit out in 4 hours .. one I remember right off hand would be a trip with pat evans in january ... pics and info posted on my web site. all my trips last about 6 hours or so and there are lots of trips posted on my pics page that have limits of fish ... sometimes 45 fish in 6 hours there's been a few 4 people trips that got 4 limits in less than 6 hours so I guess I'm a liar, huh! hahaha. in just over 4 hours we caught 25 on this trip http://www.catfishin.net/aug/aug-13-08.html caught 30 fish in about 5 hours on this trip http://www.catfishin.net/aug/aug-12-08.html on july 25th we caught about 30 fish that averaged nearly 15 lbs each ... here's the link to those pics http://www.catfishin.net/july/july-25-08.html on lake Tawakoni just after the run when most all the mature fish went to spawn and bluecat fishin is almost impossible on keystone Albertking and I caught around 40 fish on a lake we'd never fished in just over 4 hours or maybe 5 hours ... I had to quit around 1pm cause I thought I had to be off my pain meds in order to take the polygraph test so I couldn't fish the whole time allotted.

I'm sure I've caught 30 in that amount of time at mineral wells on stink bait..
There is so many little ones there it's not funny.

I guess Jack and I are liars too.

During certain times of the year we can easily limit out 3-4 clients in less than 4 hours.

This trip was a grand total of about 2 hours from first bait in the water to starting to clean fish, and we threw about 15-20 fish back because we started culling.
