Ok guys here is the senero. You are fishing a Big Bass Tournament and 9 lbs is winning over all. You have just caught a 11 pound fish and have 5 minutes to make it to weigh-in for the last hour of the tournament. You are heading in an you see a family boat on fire and 4 people have jumped into the water to include two children. You do not have enought time to stop if you want to make it to weigh-in. So do you go for the $100K in cash and prizes or do you save the family. You are the only boat in the area.

I believe there is a law in regard to stopping to render aid to a boat in distress, so if you pass right by and do nothing you would be in violation of the rules of the tournament by violating that law.
I would stop in a heartbeat, while stopping I would have my partner calling the TD of the event and explaining what was happening, and where we were. He would then make a decision... allow the fish to be weighed or DQ me. I personally wouldnt be able to live with myself if people died because I didnt stop to help, I dont care how much money I would have won.

I would stop and help. Law or not.... One day that could be me and my family and I sure hope someone would help me.

If it is even a question then you should be ashamed of yourself.
Yes I did admit defeat. Good job back to back champion

thats why you have the TD's # on your phone and make the call after you call 911 as your turning to help the other boat...other fishermen in the tourney would understand and would let you weigh-in just b/c of good deed done....think smarter, think ahead, be prepared

hypothetically, no money is worth the value of a life, especially when you could have done something about it.
but realistically, mitchell is right on.

Not a question for me. I would stop for sure, but I do not think all would. Just a question with a lot of good answers so far.

save the family and eat the bass
call it what you will...he is not definitely not anywhere near the top of the list for QB's that I would choose needing a FG or touchdown drive late in the game.

As I slow from 90 to 80 I get a quick glance and see that all the crew jumped safely from the boat and had PFD's on ......so I holler out to them "I"LL BE BACK" and get back up to 90. Is that acceptable? Don't blame me....I'm an only child.

I would definately stop. That is something that would always be in the back of your mind(if you have a concious). As stated above it could come back and be you and your family that needs the help.

Reverse the question....what if that was your family in that boat ,and a passing bass fisherman went right by so he could make weigh-in for a darn fish.If you pass by and win the money, have fun living with that guilt while you are spending the 100K.And plus like BUDA13 stated ,this boating accident is like a traffic accident and if you fail to stop and render aide you will have legal problems to spend your 100k on,and thats a piss poor defense attoney for 100k.

Would stop & assist. Any tournament worth the name would surely allow you to weigh-in for something like that.
