Decker aka Walter E Long is a powerplant lake in east austin that has been stocked with Hybrids for several years. It has been good during the winter and spring, but it was tough fish'n out there yesterday. The water temp. was 98 degrees!!
Was you guys on Belton this morning?

Sure wish I had charged the boat batteries up. I would much rather be recharging my man batteries on the boat in the water under the August stars than sitting here at home watching the Olympics. Oh....Woah is me to settle. Blue Bottle TIME!!!!!!!!

Where the funky water meets with the cleaner water. I think! noidea

Didn't noticed the water around Rogers to be dirty, maybe just didn't make it there yet.

We stumble across some fish tonight. So many under hybrids, glad they decided to move on and the bigger ones moved in.

Nice seeing Z71 and family doing some night fishing!

Nice looking fish... Fools!

We went out about 4 and the main lake / TLP area was still very rough. We ended up going down to the Flats. Water was amazing clear (as clear as Belton gets). So the mudline had not reached there yet. We caught and released a small hybs. Heidi ended up with a nice channel cat and a couple of nice whites. I caught a couple of whites as well. Heidi had a very large fish on her crappie rig that had her reel singing for a bit before it broke her 8 lb test. She had me in stitches while she was fighting that one. We stayed on the Flats waiting for the bite to come back on until @ 1 a.m.

Was there anyone here on the Flats in a green flat bottom, with 3 people on board? Looks like that last fish you caught was a very nice one....

We had a great time as always. Luckily, I am blessed with a wife that enjoys fishing even when they aren't jumping in the boat.

We will be back for more abuse next weekend.
