If so, how's the pond or what ever it is u get to fish on out there. I was just wanting to know. We are planning on going early october. so any one that wants to give me some info on that, i would highly appreciate it.....personally, i'd rather go to clayton lake.

Broken bow was great, very beautiful and we caught some nice bass on buzz baits, also the trout fishing in the river.

trout fishing is great up there, but as bassman said you can take a decent bass if the river is not raging, or if you can get on the lake you can catch a few smallies. if your going in late october it should be pretty with the turning of the leaves, just depends on mother nature. oh and eat at abendego's (i butchered that name) and try the wine at girls gone wine.

Broken Bow in October is red hot. That and april are the 2 best months. Bass will be back in the creeks and on the secondary points. I highly recomend it.

It is a wonderful place I have a cabin at Beavers Bend. I wish i could get there more often but when you are poor you can either own it and work to pay for it or use it but not both LOL It is just like my being fat I can either breath or tie my shoes but not both.....

Beautiful lake. Clear water. You can fish for huge crappy (or Sac au Lait as we say in Cajun country) bass, walleyw and many other species. Hope you have fun. Post pictures when you get back.

Just got back, spent last weekend up there. Caught 1 walleye (thats what we went for) 16.5"(to small), about 30 white bass, big ones probably 2lb+ average, and about 30 spotted bass, 1 lber's, all in about 25 to 30 feet of water jiggin a chart/white slab spoon, in the Walburn creek?? area on points, (dam end east side), fish back in there behind the big islands on the big points. A good graph helps, look for schools of bait fish. Water super clear can see those hooked fish coming up at about 15 feet.
Had a blast, bite was great first 2 hours of the day and last 2 hours of the day. Pretty slow all other times, we even tried at nite no luck.
Did not try up the lake (in the bass areas) like mentioned was hunting walleyes. GOOD LUCK

When you fished the east side did you see a boat ramp that looked like it was in the middle of nowhere.Maybe some tent campers around it but definatly in the middle of wilderness?Behind one of the middle sized Islands?

You will just have to trust me on this one the only boat you want to take to our boat ramp is one carried in the back of your truck. the road to get there is "DANGEROUS" not to mention when you leave to head back to civilization you have to head strait up hill on an incline most cars or small suvs would not pull a trailer up.Any way Our cabin is up that road.
