MM, this past weekend I hooked mine through the tail. My wife hooked hers in the upper lip and the back. My method seemed to let the bait stay alive longer and they also seemed to wiggle more. I think fish will normally eat perch head first so, if the perch is hooked in the face area the Hybrid may feel the line and spit the bait out. My wife thinks a big ol Hybrid will inhale the perch which ever direction it is. She dosen't think they will take the time to orientate to the head. She may be right. Anyway, it makes for good conversation while fishing.lol By the way, we caught more on Humdingers.. and I'sm sure head first, lol...go figure. Peace, Old Hippie

Wow I had better luck with artificials myself, after I had given up catching them on live bait, small perch, and didn't get a bite! Maybe that was a problem, WHAT'S THE PERFECT OR BETTER SIZE HERE? ugg also caught a nice hybrid trowling a plastic worm, a buddy said to try that...but I did get some magnum whites too,
