Here is what I have made out of 12" thick material. The red line is where I still need to install an Alum. tubing for a handle to carry it. I draw terrible!

The measurements that I have on mine are not law by any means. It just fit in my Ford ranger better cut to those DIM. Yes we do. I have fished off of 1 alot smaller. They are VERY stable, even afer a long hot day of slow fish action and hot cold can action

Here is a tip. Pearow, over on Texas Fly Report, told me that he a couple of these babies that he has painted with mobile home roof paint to prevent the Styrofoam from degrading.

Basically all you need is some way to protect the foam from the sun if you want it to last for several years. I'd consider many different products from paint to cloth to wood. The simplest would be paint or maybe truck bed liner but you do have to be aware of how each type of chemical might react with the foam..

Apparently the mobile home roof paint does the job.

Gosh where I fish dunno if you'd impress too many gals with that kick boat thing. Now if it had a lawn chair, cooler and trollin motor that'd be a different story. Saw a picture of one just like that once and I thought it was a joke. Shows how much I know. Try styro foam insulation sheets and liquid nail them together to get thick enough.

Seriously, I was going to make one out of styro sheets for the kids and I to use at the lake. Seems pretty indestructable. And not alot invested if something happens to it.
