Here has been my rule for the past 30 years....I bought the boat...you buy the gas....or stay home and I'll buy the gas.

I never ask my partner for gas money it cost the same for me to go by myself as with a partner .It is getting expensive to go but if I couldnt afford my hobbies I would. I better stop before I get myself into trouble

In West Texas, I have to drive and drive and drive and drive to get to water. Cut my fishing to about 1/4 from same time last year. About right. One trip now cost about 4 times the cost of last year.

I like what Mr DW Moore said "The boat uses the same gas with 1 as it does with 2" . If someone wonts to pay some of the gas that OK if not I still go an have Fun. Leftlane (Paul)

This was supposed to be the year that I branched out to explored other DFW lakes. With the gas prices I've decided to keep on fishing at Lavon and maybe, just maybe try a hybrid and/or stiper trip to Ray Hubbard and Tawakoni.

Keep looking forward. That’s why windshields are larger than rear view mirrors.

Sabot just take a deep breath and relax when the fishing gets tough just get some of the things done around the house and when you go just think about presentation and enjoy your self and relax things will pick up .Look at the post and you will see nobody is killing the crappie right now its slow .Its a great time to explore the lake or build some piles .Lifes to short enjoy and dont sweat the small stuff. These are the things I have to tell myself Ha Darrell
