little more challenging to catch today. not really schooling hard, probably cause of the moon last night. still caught about 20, mostly yak trolloing, and did catch an additional 10 largemouths, all small. not a bad day. no catching at the bubbles.

hey trout bum what color yak you got? I've seen a guy with one alot by bubbles just wondering if that was you. If so, you had an interesting little net rigged up to catch shad at bubbles with teh yak.

As for murell, it isn't so much depth as finding areas with steep slopes or humps that hold fish. With a depth finder, it isn't tough to find them. Just be sure to work around. I like to give a spot 5-10 mins and if I have't picked up a fish or got some bites, I troll over to the next one. Takes maybe 30mins or little longer to work that area and if no bites, I drive over to the next spot.

During middle of day, I'd say best two bets are murell and twin coves out in the mouth of the coves. Bubbles can also be good during middle of day but skiers are almost always over there.

JW, have you done a lot of night fishing for sandies under the lights?

I've been trying to get out there and do that just to see if it works.

I will try tonight with the lights since I have no plans other than fishing this weekend. Got a kitchen pass and taking full advantage.

One of these days, I'm going to drag the Lund down there in the evening and see if I can't chase some sandies in the marina lights.

hey jw, where you plan on fishing tonight? I've been wanting to see someone do night fishing so maybe I'll head out this evening after work to chase them the usual way and stay till after dark so I can watch you do some night fishing.

I will hit Rock Crusher first and mabe the east point off Meadomere. I will chase surface ones till dark for sure then hit the Meadomere point since the graph always shows lots of bait. I'm flexible but I figure the water flees will be gone by 8:30 ish so the lake should calm down. Come on out we will find something.

ok JW, think i will head out too. I will hit my regular spots this afternoon and see if I can find some. I'll swing by meadomere later this evening and look for you. I know nothing about night fishing under lights so will be interesting to see how you do it. Anyone else headed out this evening?
