Never had a problem with a goose, but my dad had a pretty mean rooster when I was growing up. That thing would jump me every time I fed the chickens.
I got tired of it and took a piece of shovel handle with me one day. He came at me and I whacked him. He keeled over like a wet dish rag. I just knew my dad was going to kill me, and as I sat there making up a story, he slowly came back to life. In about 5 minutes, he was fine.
He never came near me again...

I think geese and ducks should be removed from public ponds. They [censored] everywhere and geese are sometimes aggressive scaring kids and even grownups. The public pond is not "their" territory, whatever it thinks.

when I was a young, wild teenager; I hit a whole flock of neighborhood geese with my car on the way home from a party.

It was a huge deal in the neighborhood! They had signs out looking for the goose murderer and everyrthing. I was scared for about a month.

These days, I keep my foot on the break when Im driving in goose country.

I laught about it now but about 5 years ago we were tubin down the Gualupe River about this time of year. There 3 or 4 swans near the edge of the water. Well my tube got too close to the edge and one of the swans came out me. I was trying to paddle backwards to get away from him. It missed my feet and shins by inches. I had to grab it by the neck and fling it about 10 feet to get away from it. There were police or game wardens about 100 feet down stream. I thought they were going to give me hard time how I treated the swan but they were cool. Well every time we floated that stretch for the next two days those swans would see me coming and start their attack mode. I had to float on the other side of the river and paddle to get away from them. Like I mentioned I laugh about it now but those 30 seconds I thougth I was going to be swan meat!

As for me and my house we'll serve the Lord.
