Yeah I started my list too! I'm sure it has the same stuff though! I have once again tried to get a hold of the owner of SS, maybe he will call tomorrow. We just got in from Granger. We took all three of the kids so it was more like trying to tame wild animals than fishing! No keepers, but we sure did have lots of fun...ok...the kids did! Zach's nerves are a little frazzled! We are going to try to get Zach's mom to babysit on Sunday morning so we can head out to Belton if you and Dee want to come along! Unless I can pull a miracle out of my pocket, which has been done before, we may need volunteers to bring a dessert. It should go without saying, I will be baking up a storm the day before, that is if I can get Zach to go scrub the tables in the pavillion for me!

I forgot to clarify that I meant to the event and not the meeting. And also that I will be bringing my husband, not my husband bringing me! No Dave you have that the other way around, we couldn't do it without you! Thought about this post. We couldn't pull any of this off without the volunteer boaters and those people/companies that are donating time, money and merchandise. Wanted to once again give out a HUGE THANKS to everyone involved. I'll let you know about Belton. Had an offer from Stumpy to Granger Sunday morning. I'm awaiting his call.
Keep on fishing.

Just returned from the lake. Fishing was kinda slow today. Did show Stumpy some spots on the lake to fish Saturday. Think he has a little more confidence he can find some fish now. Hope to see all the boaters and volunteers this afternoon @ the Sirloin Stockade in Taylor. If you can't make it thats fine. I'll send out an email to all involved to give an update on what we talk about and the final plans for Saturday. If you haven't registered your boat yet I will be bringing a few registration forms with me to fill out @ the meeting. This form is important to help me track the # of boats that are going to be available. Thanks again for all the support and assistance. See you @ 5:00 p.m. @ the Sirloin Stockade in Taylor. A big thanks to Saltydawg for helping me out on the lake today giving Mike from TASF, Angela and Eddie from Ft. Hood a ride. Appreciate it 150%, you are the man. Dave

I emailed you my cell # last night. I've got your # stored in my phone also. I'll be contacting you later this morning to make arrangements to get the brisket/chicken/sausage to you and your crew. Would appreciate the assistance in getting the word out through the radio station. I will take all the boats we can get. I'd rather have 10 boats to many then not enough. Thanks for the assistance and thanks to all that have signed up so far. This is a great cause and the Granger Gang has stepped up to the challenge. I am proud to be one of the Gang.
Keep on fishing.

Thanks Stumpy, Saltydawg, and Dave for the fishing trip on Sunday. The food was good at the Stockade as well. I think we had a good meeting. Sorry about rambling about the whole program. i have to remember each lake is an individual event and not as a whole. If that makes any sense. Anyways thank you to everyone that showed up. It was nice to meet everyone. Later Mike

This evening Zach took me out for our anniversary. So I took the opportunity to get a few donations around Killeen. Here's what we came up with to add to the list:
Buffalo Wild Wings-(2) $20 gift cards Logan's Roadhouse- 5 Appetizers TGI Fridays-(9) Free Appetizer, Smoothie, or Dessert coupons Boston's Restaurant- (5) Individual Pizzas Ryan's Buffet- $20 gift card Outback Steakhouse-(2) $25 gift certificates Applebee's-(2)$10 gift certificates McAlister's Deli-(3)Lunch or Dinner plus Iced Teas for Two plus they also provided the plastic bags for the soldier goody bags. Bennigan's-(3) $10 gift certificates
I want to also take this opportunity to apologize for the mishap with Fantastic Sam's. There was apparently some miscommunication and we have gotten all taken care of. They are donating the briskets and Dave will be picking them up today. Thank you so much to the owners for their donation!
Zach picked up another $100 donation today from Babeco in Taylor.

Shawnee, don't beat yourself up over Fantastic Sam's being, well you know what. Keep your head up and keep on pluggin'. You're doing a marvelous job. You haven't let anyone down. It will all work out. I am going to pickup the meat tomorrow and deliver it all to John. How many gift bags are you going to make up? John Christopher from Sloppyseconds BBQ is wanting to add to the bags and needs to know how many goodies he needs to put in.
Keep on fishing.

I am planning on making a goody bag for each soldier, with the door prize drawing for everyone involved including soldiers and guests.

OK. I'm confused. I am reading bits and pieces of what is happening but I don't have time to read 8 pages of posts and try to piece the whole thing together.
Someone needs to publish an itinerary. Write out everything what, when, and where. When do I need to be where and what do I need to bring. And I am fishing, I am not bringing a desert.

Itenerary has been published. Look on page 7. All you need to bring is yourself and your boat. How many soldiers are you going to be able to take out with you since I haven't received a registration from TASF on you? I will bring a blank registration so you can hand jam it. Need the registration for accountability.
Keep on fishing.

Almost forgot to post about the friendly little wager. $5.00 per boat entry for biggest crappie or white bass caught. Not mandatory but what is 5 bucks(oh yea a gallon of gas). The money will be split between the 2 species and that money will go to the soldier or soldiers in your boat. Sorry boaters you only get the bragging rights and no cash. Yes I do have a set of scales to weigh them on before anyone asks. We will collect the money @ the ramp when you load your soldiers.
Keep on fishing.
