Like everyone has said...............Call and ask for TREY or RYAN. If you remember the name of the female employee, make sure you let either of them know, so they can counsel that employee. You received bad information.

When it comes down to an issue of warranty, always ask for Ryan Smith, Clifford, Trey or Billy Kistler. Never assume what the office assistants tell you. You send me a PM and I will talk to Trey or Ryan myself for you.

My suggestion is to call and talk to whoever to get your new rod. I'd then sell it and go buy a rod with a real lifetime warranty. For that price, you shouldn't need to call someone special to get a warranty replacement.

Has any one else noticed that whenever some one posts that they have a problem with Kistler (many posts), the Pro staff immediately posts that "you need to talk to Trey, he will take care of you". Maybe Trey needs to talk to his "customer service" people and we wouldn't be seeing all these posts. Or maybe thats the way Trey wants it: unless you call Trey after dissatisfaction with customer service, Kistler doesn't have to do anything about the problem.

I am Pro Staff, and I offered to help the guy out. If I can't do it, call Ryan at 281-259-8033. You don't have to talk to Trey to get help.

Hendrix rods have a guarantee on them. No charge other than shipping. Very sensitive custom made rod, and spined.

Maybe the warranty should read "Call Ryan or Trey, whatever you do don't call customer service...They don't understand the policy"

Take a look at AllPro rods great warrenty Billy and the boys treat people right. They are the most sensitive rods I have ever used. Haven't broke one yet. www.allprorods.com. They can also be purchased at Lake Fork Tackle.

I have used Falcon rods for over ten years and would like to tell you about how their exchange deal works, but I can't as I have never had to send one back or had any problems at all. Every now and then I will write them a note and they will send me Hats,Shirts and one time even a free jacket that was in there catalouge. I couldn't tell you who owned the company or the name of the big cheese,as all their employees seem very eager to please. I also have Loomis, St. Croix, Quantum, BPS, and other rods and have broken them one way or another and have had some good and some bad luck with differant companies. I still have one of the old All-Star T10 rods and used it once or twice and never liked it and All-Star was founded by Kistlers as well as Castaway. I guess when you have a sponsorship the exchange policy is pretty good as they seem to be the only ones that are satisfied. I guess when you don't have to pay for those $300 rods you can't understand why those of us that do have a problem.

thats why i stick with G Loomis. $20 and a couple weeks, a new rod... for life. That is the #1 reason I fish with G Loomis rods. Easy warranty and you don't even have to call, just fill out the warranty on the web-site. If you don't have the patience of SkeeterRonnie, you can have a new one at your door in 2 days for $50!!!

I have several Kistler rods, several Loomis rods, and a variety of others. The problem I see with the post about Kistler is, the company policy needs to be known by everyone at the company from the owner to the janitor. I do not know Ryan or Trey. I do not want to know Ryan or Trey. I want a new rod if it is defective and do not want to go through the office directory before I get satisfaction.
You buy a rod from a company, not from an individual. Everyone that answers the phone represents the company and should know what the policy is. When you have to "in" to know the right contact, well, that is just too exclusive of a club for me.
