Thanks sir, I still need to get with you about the jigs. Was hoping to see you Friday. It's about time for those grasshoppers to be working on timber!

Will do, Brian.

What color is "grasshopper" by the way? (know it has some sort of green in the combo).

TO ALL the rule say you have to fish from a boat my houseboat is a boat it has two 50 hp mercuries on the the back I do have it in a slip and I untie it and motor all over the lake. The rules didn't say anything about not fishing in my slip it did say that we could not fish near the gas dock and Iam no where near the gas docks. The rules also said that we where to be off the water by 4:00pm friday I ask if this would be a problem since I stay on my boat I was told it would be ok.As for as slip owners not likeing fisherman fishing in there slips it was my slip. The rule about all waters being accessable to all participants of the tournament will I was planing on pulling out of my slip and fishing two other slips that I put structure in they where empty slips and I had talk to the people about doing this and they didn't care as long as I was operating in a safe manner and I think safe boating is one of the other rules.I know for a fact that when I had left my slip that at least two of my fishing buddies at least jokeing said that they would be right in there the point being all waters accessable to all fisherman.I have a live well to kept the fish alive and follow all the rules that the state of Texas puts on all boats. My point is with great respect to Paul and Jerry and all my other fisherman on this forum Iam a seasoned Crappie Tournament fisherman I know and try to follow the rules and if I have any questions about the rules start and formost before I put any money on the line I ask and in this case even pointed it out to the man standing right in front of my boat.I hope and prey that we will get a second chance at having this tournament on Texoma I will support this cause and will plan on fishing it right on the front of my boat.
Doug

Thanks for the explanation, Brian. I think I have some from either Skip or JIGUM that are that color (yellow/green/yellow) with flash in the tail.

I can see how they resemble grasshoppers and be good in the Summer, well, since that's when those darn hoppers are active!

Going to have to try them on some piles on RR next time I'm out there, or even at the slips.

Doug,

Thanks for putting me up for the tourney, ah pseudo-tourney. That was quite a setup you had prepared for it. I don't know what else you could have done differently.

In any case, it was my pleasure to meet Lori, Buttons, Bela, and Brian's folks. It was also nice to meet Anthony and his family and especially watching the dinkman (aka Anthony) catch those things. J/K Anthony.

Thanks again for the hospitality. We'll fish together soon.
