Made it home safe and sound from Sherman/Texoma. Didn't go like planned as I am sure you all have read. Oh well gives me another couple of days to get ready for the biggest event of the year. The Granger Wounded Warrior Fishing Trip. We still have alot of planning to do. I'd like to meet with all the boaters and volunteers prior to the event to get a good headcount of all that are participating. Let me know a good time and place to meet. I was thinking maybe next Sunday afternoon @ the Fox Park Pavillion. Let me know what you think. Like for you to be there also Mike.

Keep on fishing.

I posted this on www.takeasolderfishing.com, but its so nice, I just had to post it here as well!

I just received a box of goodies for the door prize drawing from "Fishing Tackle Plus." Enclosed was an extremely nice letter that I would like to share.

"Enclosed are a few items that we hope will help in your wonderful project. We were unaware that your organization existed until we received your email, but now we will spread the word anywhere we can. We are also going to add a link to our website in hopes this will help.

We are located in New Jersey and would like to know if there is a chapter located here. Good luck with your event on June 28th. We hope it is a success and will bring some smiles along the way."

Well we hope so too! And for adding our link to their website, it is only right for me to post theirs on here as well! So check out www.fishingtackleplus.com . What a great business! And for donating such a great box of goodies, and spreading the word of the website, you've just gained a customer for life! Cheers!

June 28 is approaching quickly. There is still alot of work to be done to prpare for the event. Still waiting to hear from a few boaters that have committed but have not registered on the TASF website. If you haven't registered please do so. It is easier to track boaters that way. Meeting for the TASF Fishing Event will be Sunday, 22 June @1700 hrs. (5:00 p.m.) @ the overlook on the south end of the dam for the volunteers (boaters/BBQ cooks/volunteers). Let me know what you all think. There is plenty of parking and it's free. I'll bring my pop-up canopy to get us out of the sun. Like to get @ least 2 more canopies if anyone has one. Suggest you all bring your chairs. Thanks again for your support. Dave

Keep on fishing.

I've been trying to keep you all updated on the Event. I have added the boaters to my email. I have received several admin emails of undeliverable to several of the boaters. Please PM me a current email. The email addresses I need are Pvilleangler and Bhunt. These come back undeliverable.

Keep on fishing.

Change for the meeting on the TASF Fishing Event. It will be Sunday, 22 June @1700 hrs. (5:00 p.m.) @ Sirloin Stockade in Taylor (boaters/BBQ cooks/volunteers). This will be a better venue for the meeting. Shawnee is working on the price per person for the meal to be posted later if you choose to eat. (The meal will be paid for by the participant not the event staff). Hope to see you all there. If you haven't registered your boat we will have sign up forms @ the meeting. Dave

Ok guys, if someone can put me on the fish, I'll bring the pontoon (21 footer, can take about 5 in it with no problem). If that won't work I've got a fishing boat that would handle 2 plus me. I don't fish Granger, so somebody is going to have to help me out on where to take these boys so we don't just drive around all day.

Can somebody put me on the fish at Granger, I have never been there, Don't even know where it is, but I'll bring the pontoon and can take 5 or 6 out. Just didn't want to drive around all day looking for fish for these guys.

We will help you out. I'm offering up GPS coordinates and spots for boats. We can definitely use that pontoon. Thanks for the assistance and welcome aboard. Go to this website to register your boat.

I forgot to post earlier that today I received 100 free
Whataburger coupons in the mail. I also received two dvds and a book/dvd combo on Redfish from In-Fisherman. Cutter sent two boxes full of Advance Sport insect repellent wipes.

Would have posted earlier, but we just got back from the RR Express game. We left early 'cause they were stinkin' it up. I don't even remember the score when we left. But we did get our fill of $1 hotdogs and sodas!
