Ok gentleman I am a new comer to Crappie fishing, but friday morning I am taking my boat and hitting Lake Waco..I want to see what a crappie taste like, so give me the scoop on how not to come back empty handed. I may be female but I WILL listen to what you tell me..

(Idle in 15' of water and look for the brushpiles on your DF, drop a minnow strait down in the brush and wait for a slight thump, raise the fish up quickly. By the way...it don't taste like chicken)

I always play a little George Strait while I fish. It makes the bite better for me!

You've been a member since Feb., have you been reading the crappie section that long? If you have you should have learned a lot from these guys in here, they are ready and willing to share a lot. Some even share thier exact spots. Get Mr. Paty's dvd, it's a good one.

Cruise around in your boat on weekends and spy on other fishermen. If you see a boat sitting still next to a orange marker buoy, that's a brushpile. DONT RUN UP AND TIE UP TO THE GUY'S BOAT!! Just make a note of where it is and try it later. Most people dont mind others fishing thier brush, just not while they are fishing it.

And keep the George Strait volume turned up, just NO DANCING, that's too dangerous.

Well if I did not have to work Friday I would jump in your boat and help you out. Maybe another time just pm me and I dont mind meeting you out there and helping out. You then will learn that I am pretty nice!

Well...how did you do on Waco, gotta?

Not Bad....Got some sand bass..no crappie..but I am learning alot...lost my cell phone to Lake Waco...and almost lost my rod/reel but I saved that...working on a good tan too...and bought the new George Strait CD to listen to while I fish...All in all I had a great time watching the sun come up in the quiet and remembering what makes living so good...The simple things in life.

Good to here you did well. George will bring in more fish!
