Went after work today. Boy was it hot!!! The first 2 hours I could not catch a fish. It has been a few weeks on that lake to fish so was not sure where to find them. I started on brush at 15ft. Nothing! I moved shallower and bam! The ticket today was 5 to 8ft. All caught on Jigum Jigs! Dinner!

Nice fish Jason. My Dad and I went this morning and fished the deep brushpiles with minnows, they would not hit a jig for me either. It was nice with no wind to have to fight with the troll motor but a cool breeze would have been nice. IT WAS HOT!!!!

My first fish was at 6:30pm. I think ist was just that I was not on the pattern.

Sorry, I forgot to mention....I fished from 8:30 till noon. Had to catch a few at one spot then move to another. Guess I left just before the big bite...but it was getting too hot for this fatboy.

Nice fish Jason. Were those fish spawned out or did they have eggs still? I talked to people recently who said that they still had eggs and was wondering if that was true.
Thanks and Gig’Em!

I've always used minnows for years, but got interested in making jigs after I ordered them from Skip and Jigum last fall (Skip was a BIG help in getting me set up with the right stuff). Thier jigs are so good looking that I would hate to lose one, so I just use mine. I keep thier jigs in a tray by themselves...maybe some day I'll get them wet.
