Keep up the good work DB. You mind sharing how you are compiling an email list and all that with the other guys that registered lakes so we can all be on the same page? They might have their own set up already but I have had a couple boaters that are wanting info but don't know who to go to. that is why I posted the info earlier about each lake. Keep it up and good job. This will most likely be an annual thing once we get all the kinks worked out the first go around. Right now I am arguing whether or not the soldiers should be able to drink alcohol on these trips. Some of our guys CAN'T drink because of their medications so the command thinks all the soldiers shouldn't drink. What do you all think??

Mike, I set up a group in my email. When you send me the emails informing me of a registration I copy their addresses and add them to the group. I try to send out emails each time someone is added and when I have pertinent info to make the boaters aware of the info I receive. Your email address is in my group list.
As far as the alcohol issue. That is gonna be a command decision. I know several of the volunteers will be enjoying a few cold ones to include myself once we are off the water. I am currently attending Annual Training here @ Corpus Christi Army Depot. The Adjutant General's policy is no alcohol consumption during AT. Dam I want a cold coors light, but it is gonna have to wait until I get off duty tomorrow.
Keep on fishing.

Mike, you are as passionate as I am about this. Nothing less than perfection is unacceptable. The fishing trip on Granger is gonna be great. Got a buddy that offered up his boat for the fish although he is not available to fish. Anyone want to skipper this boat?
Keep on fishing.

Well Granger Gang I've reserved the Fox Park group shelter for June 28, 2008. I have a lead on a toon to assist us in making sure we have enough seats available. I will return home on 17 May and will be @ the lake on the 18th. Hope to see you there. DB Hey DB, I finally made it out to the lake yesterday afternoon and wanted to stop by and visit with you. I didn't see you anywhere, Did you make it out?

Looking for sponsors for this event. Anyone out there work for or know someone who does @ Academy/Bass Pro Shop/Cabelas/Sportsmens Warehouse/Local Bait Shops/Subway/Mcdonalds/Other Restaurants/Motels willing to assist us with some gift cards? Nothing big. Say $25.00 for each card. Cash donations also accepted to assist Mike when it comes to housing the soldiers overnight @ hotels or campgrounds @ other lakes besides ours. I have a commitment already for $400.00 in cash to go to this great cause as well as a $250.00 gift card for the BBQ after the Granger event. You can send donations to me @ Dave Biester, 2304 Larston Lane, Cedar Park, TX 78613 or bring them to the Granger Group Shelter on June 28th. Remember "FREEDOM ISN"T FREE"! Thanks again for your support! Dave
Keep on fishing.

I have decided to shut down the [censored] website until further notice!!
Someone has hacked into the site and planted a trojan virus and has caused a few computers to crash after going to the site. For the safety of the users I decided to shut it down until the virus can be located and removed. I am sorry to do this but the users and the people that frequent the site are the lifeblood of the site and keep it going. Please check back often and I will post on this forum when it is up and running again. If by chance you go to the site and it is up and running please let me know immediately as it is being hacked again until I post back on here.
I do not know what drives these people to do this kind of garbage and mess up other peoples hard work. It isn't like there is any money involved or things like that. It is for the troops. This goes to show that this site was getting bigger than we thought and was also getting noticed. We will get this fixed and we will drive on.
As for all the people that have registered an event for the Ft. Hood fishing program... If you have not printed a hard copy of all your boaters that have signed up, email me at fistfam@yahoo.com so we can set up a time that you can get online and print the information. I will restart the forum specifically for you so you can access the links if you cannot pull them up.
Once again I am sorry that this has happened. What doesn't kill us only makes us stronger. Later Mike

All I have to say about this situation is I would like to get my hands on the lowlife/s that do things like this. They ought to be strung up by their toes and let each one of our soldiers smack them around a bit. Bet the Granger Gang could put a whuppin' on them. OK so much for my mean streak. This can still workout just fine. If you all know boaters who are trying to register have them send me an email @ dbiester@austin.rr.com with info on their boat and how many soldiers they can provide a ride for. Thanks all. DB
Keep on fishing.
