What I need from you guys is a compiled list of things I guess.
What ramp we are using to launch at?
If -motel is next to the lake I need 2 different motels close to the launch site. I need all their information Phone, address, rates, any discounts they may provide and how many rooms available for each motel, ammenities, wheelchair accessible and so on.
If it says -motel next to it we will be driving to the motel the Friday before with arrival times around 6pm. Looking for at least 20 rooms for a total of 40 people. Stay will include Friday, Saturday, and check out Sunday. Need to know about restaurant locations as well and the distance from the motel.
If you are going to put on a fish fry or a BBQ I will leave that up to you. I know that the personal touches are what make the difference. Bob and Jeane Wilson aka doublejack on here hosted our BBQ on Richland Chambers. It made all the difference and thats what the guys are talking about. We all know that not everybody eats fish so keep that in mind. I will add more as it comes along. Thanks guys! Mike

Mike, working on things here. I'll check out hotels in Taylor which is just south of Granger Lake. There are a bunch of restaurants in Taylor also. Still looking for boaters for this event. Got 2 more today. Think that puts us @ 6 so far. I'll make out some flyers tonight and put them on vehicles in the boat ramp parking lot. We will probably launch out of Fox Park and I will rent the pavillion for the day for everyone to have a place to congregate after the fishing. Also gonna hit up HEB in Taylor to see about donating items for a BBQ afterwards. If not I am sure the GANG will be happy to donate a few items for it. Thanks GANG for your help in this worthwhile cause.
Keep on fishing.

TB, thanks for the encouragement. Gonna go with it. More than a worthwhile cause. Gotta give some love back for what these soldiers sacrificed. It will be great. The GRANGER GANG will make it great. See ya @ the BB fish fry.
Keep on fishing.

Dave, The gov. is fixing to send me a 600.00 check next week. I think a portion of this money, say about 100 bucks of it, has take a soldier fishing name on it. Can't think of a better way to spend the money other than this great cause and doing what I love.......

Thanks Kevin, that is a generous offer and definitely accepted. I am so blessed to have a friend like you. I will match it with another 100 bucks. Anyone else want to give up a few free bucks from your tax rebate? This is a challenge to all the Granger Gang. Let's hear from you all.
