I like panfish assassins, and a cool way to learn about the water column is to just shoot out about 6 to 8 feet of line and hold the tip down, watch the line, and as the jig falls, it swings back toward u, and a bunch of times for me they have thumped it as the jig falls, therefore letting me sorta figure out how deep or shallow I should set up my vertical presentation. It takes a lot of patience, but stick with it and u will get it, and not want to go back to minnows unless all else fails. Rule number one, have fun. BOB

This might seem like a stupid question to yall. But I've mainly catfished and bassed my whole life, so I've never really used a jig for crappie. My question I guess is how to you use it? Like what is the best technique to work it? Just reel it or what? Sorry for being stupid -Bryan I was told by a Navy Seal the only stupid question is one that will get you killed if you don't ask it! Bryan alot of guy's here make jigs and don't mind telling you how to fish them. Jigums, Scott Solis, Thumpit jigs, Skip, Not in any particular order and quite afew others, but just ask the jig makers questings and they will let you know how to fish the jigs. Now they wont tell you where but they may tell you what depth, maybe
