Thats fine if you want to support Ranger boats but if you want to get the very same valves that Ranger is going to sell you go to flow-rite and get them for much less. I have also seen them on EBAY for 10 dollars cheaper than flow-rite.

They probably will not do it anymore but Ranger would give them to me for nothing when I griped about how long they lasted. They even sent a complete set with cables and all the time I complained about the slides.

While we're on the subject, i am having the same problem. Water will not stay in the livewells because I'm sure the valves are shot. Other than the drain hole for the boat hull, i have three other holes in the transom. Two of them have strainers on them and the wells drain from these. My question is this, could I remove the strainers and put a plug in or does water enter the livewells from the same drain hole? I'm assuming it does because of the strainers, but it never hurts to ask.

The water enters through the drain holes. I have an older Ranger and I fought the valves for years. Ranger sent me 2 replacement sets. They never worked well for long. I have some plugs that I use if I ever want to trailer the boat with water in wells. I think the rubber flapper either just get dirty or gets hard and do not seal well.

I had this very issue on my Ranger. It would empty when the aerator was not running. Spoke to a rep with flow-rite and was told to check that the actuator located by driver's seat was engaging. I have the 3 position recirculation set-up, and it was not engaging due to broken cable. I was able to repair the cable end so that it locked into position on the back-side of the actuator and now works fine.
