I have bought a pack of Mr. Crappie Egg Bobbers. I really like the neon green/yellow colors. However two of them have started taking in water. I got one left. I took them off the line and did not travel with it bouncing in the boat for this reason. I put them in my box before we start to move on the lake etc. etc. One lasted two trips and the other about one hour. Anybody else having similar issues???

I got a couple packs of the slip bobbers at Walmart on clearance. I haven't been very impressed with the visibility of the yellow. I think the Thill slip bobbers have a much brighter and visible yellow top. I also picked up some of the Mr. Crappie 6 lb. test in the flourescent yellow and while I can see it good, it seems to twist and get tangled way easier than the other line I had been using.

BPS has 3/4 inch balsa slip bobbers that work great.

Ive had a lot of similar problems with the pear shaped ones filling with water also. Make sure to tell Wally about it when he approaches you at BPS to tell you who he is!

Plastic is why I just stick with styrofoam bobbers most of the time. They always float, and you can beat them up, and they still float

I like the Mr Crappie slip bobbers I bought at Academy. The yellow shows up very well. I just have to make sure I have the right amount of wieght on. Too little wieght and they float on the side. Too much wieght and they sit so low in the water you can barely see them.

Why don't you try returning them? Most retailers will replace a defective product, give you a store credit or give you your money back.
Any mass produced product is going to have a few bad runs.
The solution to any problem - work, love, money, whatever - is to go fishing, and the worse the problem, the longer the trip should be. --John Gierach

When I am fishing the creek I fish.. I use nothing but the foam Mr Crappie weighted corks. I can slang them a mile, and my old eyes can almost see them in the dark. I use alot of Wally's stuff, but I also know what works for me. I am very ruff on stuff. I buy the stuff that will take that beating.

I bought a package, and have only tried one, but it leaks (slowly). Looking close at it revealed that the thing wasnt snapped together properly. All the wrangling I could muster wouldnt get it to snap together. I was able to shake most of the water out of it, so I could dry it out. I might have to try and seal them with super glue. still shouldnt be this way.

Never had a problem with them. I really like them.
I really wish that they had sunk a little more often last night, though...
