So what happened to ensign? Did he not place? What was the total? What about big fish pot? Even by himself, I dont see jason not placing at all or catching big fish. After reading some of the post, I hear there were a few problems with the organizing of the tourney and there were refunds and so forth. You guys should try fishing one of the great TSA tourney's or other good tourneys to see how they are run. Very organized, captains meetings, everything is set in stone before tourney is started. This solves all problems. THAT IS WHY catfishd asked the questions that he did..... I'm sure you're fully aware of what happened with Ensign. I don't understand why you choose to ask the question in an open forum rather that via PM when we have been warned that personal issues should be dealt with in that manner.

Ok now I must speak up-- First of all they promote the shows as family friendly laid back tournaments--so much so that they were going to allow someone to pay entry fee via paypal and not show up to the starting point of the tournament--just start fishing. The weigh in was stated to be at 12 so we were at Fishermans point at 11:30. We drove around, walked around and finally went to the bait shop to ask where the weigh in was. The guy there told me he thought it was out on the point(where the fish fry was going to be) so we got back in our boat and drove around it not seeing anyone. I tried to contact Greg(the tournament director) but couldn't get ahold of him. Finally got ahold of Mando and e told me that the weigh in time had changed to 1pm(I wasn't the only one that missed this message) I asked him where the weigh in was and he told me at fishermans point--he DID NOT tell me it was in the vicinity of the ramp--which it wasnt anyway. So at about 10 till 1 I go back to the point where the guy at the bait shop told me the weigh in would be but didnt see anyone there. I beached my boat and walked around to see if I could see anyone. Finally as I was walking into the bait shop I saw the guys at the back of someones boat weighing in fish. This was about 1:05 not 1:13 like Mando said---the funny part of this is when Greg asked if it would be ok if I weighed in everyone ducked their head and said nothing...well except for Mando who started saying that it was too late and so on. Mind you this is the director that had everyone else following him at the last tournament showing them spots to fish--dont think I've ever seen the TSA directors or Boston Bob do that? So I weighed in and had big fish so if whoever got the money feels like they earned it good for them--they didnt. As for Mando speaking with other tournament directors--- I have fished other tournaments and have not seen any of the confusion/misinformation that I have in these tournament. If the weigh in times and weigh in location would have been set and known then I would have been 100% wrong. As it is....good luck with the TXSBHA there are plenty of other tournaments to enter for me.

Jason, Im sorry to hear that, it was good seeing you again. I hope as the kinks get worked out you will come join us for another tournament. Id also like to invite catfishd, piepuncher, and anyone else to come fish a tournament before passing judgment. This RC tournament was a little unorganized but as we get more tournaments under all of our belts they will get better.
One of the policies that will be put in to place and enforced is a captains meeting the day of the tournament prior to boat launch. even if you paid via paypal you will need to attend the meeting. This will prevent future miscommunications. This will make sure everyone knows weigh in times and locations. This meeting will also inform you of a fish fry if it to take place afterwards.
If you have any questions or concerns please contact one of the directors.

It simply amazes me that some people just need drama in their lives. These tournaments are for fun, learning, and fellowship with friends and family. If you want to participate in such activities then come and join in, if not that is your choice. I look forward to meeting new people and sharing my hobby with others.

Being the first time to ever go to the event. I was early and didn't know what to do, but for the average Joe I had no issues even with the weigh-in at a different spot. Only thing I did was pay for the ramp use to the Marina. But then again I was early and took advantage of no one at the ramp. And the weigh-in thing, I just looked to where we where we were suppose to be (12:45)and when I didn't see anyone beached, I just went to the dock and walked up to the weight-in. Some confusion but no deal breaker from my side.

I am curious as to why you state that you have no interest in this organization but yet question what is going on. We can keep beating the horse all you want but lets do it again. Your right I have no interest in this organization. It is what it is LMAO. I posted the questions even though I have no interest in the organization so everyone could see or hear straight from the organization officers themselves. Hey just following the TFF rules and did not want to air out dirty laundry instead will let the officers put their own foots in their own mouths. A fun tournament hmmmm taking money and fishing for money is not a fun tournament for one. Every organized tournament I have ever fished in has a captains meeting just to touch up on safety. Hmmmm guess this organization is not about that. And at the captains meeting this is when weighin and rules are discussed so all participants that are in the tournament are aware. But I guess that is not the case with this organization. I guess you actually need more then 4 or 5 boats to actually have a captains meeting for this organization LOL. LOL more people seem to be worried about my opinion more then that of what is going on with their own organization. And if you think I am the only one who gets a good laugh out of all this then the only person your fooling is yourself.

And speaking of beating a dead horse, I'm through with you and this thread as of now. Well I'm not a fool by any stretch of the imagination. You've never been to one of our tournaments so you may or may not know what you're talking about.... No your right never claimed to have. I got my information from Jason. I never onces stated anything LMAO. I asked a question and everyone got their panties in a wad. Dont want everyone to know the facts? Too funny. I never complained all I did was ask a question. All I have ever stated about TXSHA is that I and many others will never be apart of it. Simple as that. I did not bash it no need to. I asked a question. Not sure how that is complaining. But I thought it was kind of crappy the way they did Jason who was supposed to be a friend of theirs. hmmmm and after reading XYZ and Jasons post sorry I believe Jason. I never once made my own accusations I went by what XYZ and Jason posted. LMAO hope to see some if not all of you at one of the upcoming real tournaments in the coming months . Its too funny I ask a question and I am the one complaining? LMAO. And as far as coming and fishing one of the tournaments XYZ I think I will pass like everyone else LMAO. But you can come fish a real tournament at Hubbard or Tawokani or TSA tournaments I am sure we will be there. You can do your own research I dont need to prove anything to you call it arrogant call it having a chip on your shoulder look up the tournaments we entered and see where we finished. And if I do recall you bailed on 3 of those tournaments all at the last minute. Too funny aye?
