I love the town of Hemphill! Two huge lakes with just about every type of cover known to man.

I would not move an inch from the private lake I live at right now. Little Callender Lake is just too nice.

jignpig,

I would have to agree... Lake Taneycomo. That is where I will have my lake place one day.

Someone asked Tx. or Ca. I'm moving from Ca soon heading to Texas but what the heck some of the choices outside Texas to the east have been great also like Pickwick I'm a marine technician so can live pretty much anywhere theres water but the DFW area is looking like where I'll be calling home next but nothing is totally done til i pop the first beer on the porch.

I would also say Lake Fork. But I would love to live in the Pinson area of Lake Fork. If you have not seen the houses that are being built in there, then you need to stop and look. I would guestimate that some of those houses in there (now a gated community) are easily over $1 million.

well, if yr gonna LIVE there, two key factors for me would be 'great fishing' & 'great quality of life'

that said, you can't beat:
- snake river (wyoming)
- green river (wyoming)

i wouldn't want to live there again, but the fishing is WICKED at lake casitas (california)

We just had to sell 2 1/2 acres of lakefront property on Bob Sandlin with 600 feet of lakefront on a beautiful point on the south side of the lake covered in pine trees.
Bald eagles roost on the lake and seeing them soar past is a wonderous thing. Before Fork was built it was possibly the best Bass lake in Texas. Not just bass, they have excellent crappie-catfish-sandbass-brim you name it.
I loved it there. Our neighbor across the way was Bo Pilgrim..At least he owned the property think he spends most of his time at the castle he built in Pittsburg, Texas..

I can & I do.

Cedar Creek Lake and the Dallas area.

Best of both worlds.

Too many bad boat drivers/idiots on Fork. Awsome crappie lake though.

If I could have water front on any lake???
Lake Athens.

Glad to have taken..."the trash in the back!"

I would live somewhere in Southern California and get to know Mike Long and go after 20 pounders with a chance to get the elusive 22pound 5 ouncer.

The hardest thing about fishing is figuring out what the fish want to eat.

Texas I don't know...haven't been to a whole lot of lakes outside Centex.

Buchanan is nice in Centex...

Outside of Centex, Bull Shoals lake is the only lake I've been to and it seems awesome. Big lake. Lots to fish for, which includes everything in Texas PLUS Walleye...which are awesome eating fish.

I know there are a ton of awesome lakes up in North & East Texas, but I'm just not familiar with them.

Wade
