question for all of you that fish crappie tournaments. I notice Cliff's tournaments have a 7 fish stringer. Is that the norm for a crappie tournament? If so then that is what we will go with.
I'm trying to get the date nailed down, but I'm gonna fish with my old man on this one. he works every other weekend, so it's looking like we may have to try May 31 tentatively. Does that sound good to everyone?

Yes, 7 fish is the magic number.

Okay, for anyone interested and to spread the word. Tournament will be May 31, out of Overlook Park. $50 a team with $10 big fish pot. 7 fish stringer weight.

7 fish.hmmm... that should put my wife and I at around 14#'s...heheheh  I think people are gonna be quite suprised at the quality of crappie in this lake... both white and black crappie.

Registration will be at 6 am at Overlook Park boat ramp. Fishing will start at 7 am with weigh in at 1 pm. I figure most people will be ready to get off the lake and away from the jet skis and wakeboarders by then as that's when they usually show up in force.

good call. we usually start losing the bite around 11am when we fish for crappie. and the other reason you already stated about the pleasure/ski boaters.
