i heard danny went to the plant a staitened things out,, made 3 batches with his own hands... i bet it is some damn good stuff too .... but if you guys dont want to use it thats alright ...thats more for me,,more fish for me too

I've never used it but from what I've been reading they've got a lot of damage controll to make up for. I guess time will tell. I wish them well.

I had heard it was sold, or most of it, and im sure its the bean counters with the company that screwed things up. I hope they take Danny's advice. It's got Danny's name on it and I understand why he would take it personal. Hopefully they will return it to the great product he made and not what they turned it into.

i ve baught dk's for years.. but after a bad batch called the new owner richard chrisman 972-571-2277 and he said if i would bring him the bad bait he would trade me out for good bait..not worth my time,gas or effort... people were catching catfish before dk was born and will still be catching after were all dead i will try frito's to catch catfish before i spend more money on dk's ..very poor customer service if you ask me..btw if dk reads the tff..he should take offense to what has been said and all the people that have been done wrong..ok iam off the soap box.....next!!

Most people would be amazed about how much DK's bait is sold every day and continues to be sold. We sell a bunch every week and I'm just a small fish. Our complaints are under 0.04 percent and those are complaints for any reason. If you total up all the complaints on this forum compared to the total sold that would be even less. Every Business has a problem with their product now & then ie: Ford, Chevy, Dodge, Tylenol, Jack in the Box, Mattel toys, Beta Max and Microsoft. Yes people were catching catfish before Danny was born but on our lake nobody caught as many as they did before using Danny's. This is still the case for our customers. People are more likely to give a Negative comment or review about a product than they are to give a Positive one. But trust me if I get over 5 percent complaints on anything I sell "It's GONE"

People don't complain all the time, they vote with their pocket book. Tried DK once, didn't work, even after DK himself sent me an email when I wrote the company about my issues and he made suggestions. I've not gone back to it and haven't missed it. I did appreciate the personal touch of DK.

I used DK because of all the positive posts that I read about how good the bait was, and finally tried it myself, and found that all the ranting about DK was true.

I used it for several years since and was pleased with the results and even recommended it to anyone when I had the opportunity.

I even posted several times on this forum, and gave my thumbs up approval of DK's bait, and noticed others who did exactly as I did and praised the bait as being one of the best.

When the quality and from experiencing it first hand for myself I was more than just a little dissapointed that bait was no longer what it was.

At first I didn't think much of it, and that I might have gotten a bad batch, but then others complained as well, and then reading it here convinced me it wasn't just me!

So was it a one time deal, and just a quirk in manufacturing?

I doubt it, and reading about all the complaints, and negative post on this forum, and fact that Danny King had to do as this thread suggests is reason to believe that there truly was a problem that needed to be addressed!

Will I buy it again?

Maybe after I see that the damage control worked, and I once again see the reports that the problem was fixed.

I don't mind spending money on a product if it's working consistently, and once a product is deminished because of cutting corners, I won't hesitate to try the competitions brand to get the results I want.

Hope they get it together!

What is 3 batchesnot even one days output the rest is trash0.04%just because people like me they dont know about Ive got 2of 3 bad ones thats 33% tooo long odds for me Ill never buy another cant really say 1 good caught 1 fish with it winnes worked better

I truly hope the quality is restored...I hope Danny King didnt fix things by making them take his name off it but still produce the same substandard stuff we have seen on the shelves lately...hopefully they go back to the old recipe. it really worked. Im skeptical...and will wait till I hear from forum members if its really "back" before I blow any more hard earned money!

Bought some last week. First cast my rod was bending in no time. Caught a nice mess. Anyway, if you like it, use it, if you don't like it, just tell me what you use. I'm always open for a good stinkbait. I just like to catch cats! Been buying Danny King's for a few years now, and have boated some nice cats with it.

DK has always worked well for me. It gets bites when other baits don't.Please remember no bait will work if you are not where the fish are. I always try to use several baits to help me determine what the fish want to eat.It is usually DK.

I usually have 4 to 5 rods in the water. Anything from shad to DK. It always seems I catch the most off DK. I also look for good holes to bait. I got one that I kept baited for 4 years now. It always produces nice cats.

dk works better than shad?where are you fishing? i've never had a artficial bait outfish a natural. i did try sureshot recently and had more success on it than any other punchbait.
