Obviously stated from an angler who HAS NOT ridden in the new Skeeter I Class boats. Skeeter has taken a fishing machine and turned it into a BIG WATER FISHING MACHINE. If you have not ridden in the new I Class boats you have not ridden in the new Skeeters!!!!

In my personal opinon. Triton is my favorite cause of the smooth ride and awsome design. as far as motors either a Yamaha or a mercury I think are your standard options.if you go with Yamaha get a four stroke, or Mercury then make sure its the optimax... if its possible though, I think Honda makes the best marine motor because they run smooth and drink VERY LITTLE gas!!... but thats just my opinon... you probably have gotoon a thounsand different answers and that because opinions are like [censored] holes... everybody has one.. just shop around and find what YOU like and what options will fit your needs.

Someone earlier in these post says that Skeeters dont ride well in the wind or something to that effect ...The ZX225 I have is every thing I want in a boat. We have winds out here in west Texas and most of the other club members follow me back to the weighin knowing I can cut the path thru the wind for them. I throttle back and let them stay behind me in the wake. (dont wanna lose a buddy in the wind) I do know that Champion is a good boat I have fished in one before.. Dont know much about a Legend but I do know about Skeeters and have even visited the plant where they are made. I'm on my second one. I have always thought that any boat that will get ya there safe and get ya back is ok in my book. Yamaha HPDI is my motor of choice.

I would have to say Champion, I just bought an 2008 cx198 with the mercury 225 pro xs,I had an Nitro and will never go back, they don't take rough water. It's hard to beat the Mercury for fuel milage.I looked at Ranger and heard they are not the best for rough water, but the quality is there. Champion gave me the best for my $$$$, life time warranty on hull.Diamond program pays back *yrs not like ranger only 4.It's all what you can afford, Buy you also have to look at resale.look at what brand you see for sale alot.Champion is one you don't find very often. This is all just my 2cents worth.Buy the boat and motor that works best for you,
