Saturday was good and Sunday was windy as hades.
I am still tired from all the running around I did over spring break. I put 1,200 miles on my truck and I only have 18.00 in my checking account.
Anyone want to go camping this weekend? Ray Bob maybe?

Ray Bob is OK by me, if the whites don't cooperate we can always try the crappie or cats!

What's up fellas? I fished a creek yesterday a good ways from a lake (not Benbrook) and we did well. There were some large hybrids in there. I was a little anxious and straightened the hooks out on a couple of jigs. Many Sandies were caught too. The water looks to be going down quickly though. I wonder if those fish will be stuck in there??? Cheers, Anthony

I'm gonna hit Benbrook hopefully Sat. night. I still haven't found any hybrids on the lake this year just sandies.
Might try camping the weekend of April 5th at Holiday Park (Benbrook) if the weather is good.

I'll be out at Benbrook this weekend looking for some Blue Cat, I know this is not the Blue Cat forum but I am still working on getting a trolling motor. I may try to drift sock some live shad to the wipers. Thanks for the thread Mando. P-19_ <"{[{[{[><

How does that drift sock work? I've been thinking about getting one myself and using that and the trolling motor together for some slow controlled drifting. Is it true what they say bigger is better?

Anybody out fishing today on Benbrook? If you were you must have some huge ones! I bet the lake was rollin.
Is the dump strap on a drift sock worth it? I've noticed most of the cheaper drift socks don't have a dump strap. While the expensive drift socks have weights, floats and dump straps.

Yea we went out to BB yesterday and man.....the waves where gi-normus. Got soakin' wet . Was not fun at all. Caught one hybrid. Saw birds going, but getting to them was so hard to do. They only lasted for a few minutes. Don't think I'ma go out there on 30 mph wind anymore. Ended up in a nice cove with calm wind and water. Hey if you can't any fish, then you can catch a buzz.LoL
