If it's not the "Catch and Release" Nazis, it's the guys pissed about proper fish display! He's not trying to win a tournament, just sharing some pictures of something he's proud of.....

Good judgment comes from experience, and a lot of that comes from bad judgment.

Just thought I would ask. Never been fishing for Bass at night. How do you know where you are casting? Or do you just set up before dark and don't move. Especially if you don't know Fork too well. It would take me 40ft before I Carrreeeend into a tree.

We know the lake well enough to run on it at night but you still have the chance of hitting a "floater". Anyway, we try to get in an area that we want to fish before sundown and then navigate with the trolling motor. You would be surprised how well you can see once your eyes adjust, even without much of a moon. I can tell you without a doubt, especially in the spring when there is so much pressure during the day, that most of the bigger fish lay low during the day and start feeding/tending beds at night.

As long as it is not bitterly cold, I actually prefer to fish at night. You definitely adjust to it. You learn to "feel" the bite really well and learn to use electronics without a lot of distractions. There are lots of plusses to night fishing.

I am not fond of the French but this term fits well: touche Great looking fish..... night or day stretched, squeezed or held out......
