that's a great thing Phillip. I may bring a bag too. I felt guilty for leaving trash where others left it. If I would of had a bag, I would of picked some up.

Use something with chart. in it or all of it. I went after the small rain before and the water was dirty. Chart. was the ticket.

YC was not bashing you snowyriver2. It was that you had said that area should be closed due to over fishing, and then you went back to fish it again. Makes folks wonder where you really stand. Do you want if for your self and a few select friends or should you just look harder for a less crowded spot to be alone. If you think "the steps" has alot of people fishing then I sugest that you never go to Colorado Bend State Park. That place has 100X the people fishing. BTW just because you are not catching fish does not mean there are no fish in the river. Many times whites can be very picky in the rivers, you just to find what they want and how to trigger a strike with the presentation.

I didnt go there and fish. I went by there to see how many cars were there. I went to willis creek to fish. didnt fish there either . Walked up the creek but there wasnt enough water in it. So, I spent 175 dollars on gas for the pickup and boat and went to richland chambers

It looked like the parking lot at HEB..No RC the bite was slow. All the fish moved to deep water. Water temp was 53. It was 56 the week before. Only thing I caught was 4 catfish using hot dogs. They wouldnt bite shad, shrimp, nitecrawlers,or danny kings.Biggest fish was 2 pounds. Worst I've done in 5 years at RC. Week before I caught 5 catfish, one went 20 lbs,one went 15 pounds, 3 other from 1-2 pounds. All on the cheapest wienees they sell at wallmart

I went to the SG @ the "steps" yesterday. The water was muddy, flowing very fast, and had risen about 1 to 2 ft. I got there around 4:30pm. I fished till 5 pm. No bites. There were only about 10 cars there. Saw one person leaving with about 5 fish. He was coming from the deeper holes downstream. I didn't stay long. I Went to willis creek. Didn't even try there.

Gonna fish the main lake for crappie tomorrow night in the boat with a green light. Anyone have any ideas? Please PM me. We try this about once a year and seldom find em! More about testing out our saltwater boat for spring. It's a 2180 Bay Stealth with a TRP if you see us wave!

Always looking for info on Granger fishing.
