ok thanks bobtx usually i fish fresh water and whats really bitting right now are the whitebass but i sure would like to catch any kind of saltwater fish. i just dont really know where to go besides the pier

I love freshwater fishing BUT my WIFE prefers the Galveston Fishing Pier because the bathrooms are clean . LOL

Yup many times on the State Fishing Bridge north of Lake Conroe off Lake Stubenfield Rd ( spelling ) When the whites and Hybrids and Crappie come in you can easly catch your limit. But today I am sitting in my office and cussing out the sob that quit yesterday so I had to lose my Friday off. But heck its windy and the wind was blowing hard yesterday so fishing was prob bad. NO Fishing is never bad less say the catching my have been poor. Maybe next Friday

I am off on Thursday and Friday but usually go fishing Thursday night or Friday day . I babyset a 3 yr old on Thursday day while Wife gets her hair and nails done .

The piers has been closed due to high winds . Should start looking good by wensday . But looks like another blow coming friday Wife had chest pains and had to undergo minor surgury ( ballon in arteries thing ) so prob will not come Friday anyway . Poor reels are crying been 10 weeks since we been fishing .

Talked to Mike at the Galveston fishing pier and he said the keeper drums were making a showing , but not in the big numbers as will show up in 2 -3 weeks . Also a few reds , sheepheads and whiting . My wife is doing better and I am picking her up tonight to take home . A tip for newbies to the Galveston Fishing Pier , more fish are caught within 100 yds of the beach than anywhere else on the pier . Yes you stand a better chance at a large fish on the T head , But I myself fill up my ice chest in the shallows. Another tip those small throw back whitings .Put on the line like a live mullet and you can catch some big specks . Or cut the heads off and fish with the heads on bottom and get keeper reds or monster gafttop . oooooo That reminds me the Piers Gafttop contest will be starting soon . Your entre fee is paid when you bye an admission ticket.

Talked to Sonia on the Galveston Fishing Pier Sunday and she said Sat was invasion of the SHEEPHEAD . said she never saw so many sheephead. Also keeper drums and flounder were caught . Now if wife does not get mugged by another duck or if she does not have any more heart probs and if the weather permits WE will be down there Friday .

We won't be up there until Friday night (very late) and won't be able to fish until Saturday morning. I was hoping to to catch you at the pier so you can show me the rope.

Well, if the weather permit it, I will be fishing at the pier Saturday morning for something.

I AM GOING TO GALVESTON IN APRIL AND HAVE NEVER BEEN TO GALVESTON ONLY ROCKPORT AND PADRE AREA BUT WANNA KNOW WHERE THE HOTSPOTS ARE IN THE GALVESTON AREA THE PIER YALL SPEAK OF SEEMS TO SOUND LIKE THA PLACE TA BE BUT WHAT TIMES ARE THE BEST TO FISH AND WHERE ARE GOOD PLACES TO WADE FISH AS WELL THANK YOU
