I haven't had much luck out there this year. I'm ready for the luck to change though. I've only been out 3 times this year so far. I may have to make it number 4 this weekend. The most fish I've caught so far was 5 small males a couple of weeks ago using a fly rod and clouser flies upstream between the steps and the 95 bridge. It sure is beautiful out there. Thanks for the info.
Shut up and fish!

I think with this rain and the new moon that the whites will be on the move over the next week. I plan on being out there the 1st half of the week fly rod in hand.

which one were you treebass? Are you asking if I was there? If so, no I was not there, but spent the day in Austin. Hopefully I'll get out there in a week or two

Looks like it should start warming up today. High is around 57, but Sat and Sunday looks good with 60's and 70's. Kinda worried it will be real slow tomorrow with all the rain and cold weather we have had lately. Hey bobcatt, where did you get those 20 whites. Off 347? I will be out Saturday, weather permitting, at sun-up. See you all there

Heard you guys in Williamson Co. got a little snow yesterday? How much rain did you end up with? Enough to muddy the SG? Just wondering if the fish went back in the deeper holes.
Shut up and fish!

Well, let me tell you... Went to SG today. I caught 27 whites total. 21 keepers and 6 undersized. All males. Lots of people fishing today. Most had 6 or more fish on their stringers. I didn't see any females. I fished upstream from the steps. I used Chartruse and white clouser flies. Others were catching on minnows. The water was mostly clear but slightly cloudy. I released all I caught. I didn't expect to do so well. I didn't even bring a stringer. LOL. I was just wanting to see if they were biteing today. And they were.
Going to Newman Bottom tomorrow. I wish you all full stringers if you go tomorrow.
Shut up and fish!
