The price you quoted is very fare. I do believe for this model, 90 is the max rating.

Twin to mine, no problems but I havent had it long. Mine dPS at 39, but its loaded heavy.

I have had 17' with 90 Yamaha for 9 years nw, with no issues. Would definitely get another one and West is the best for customer service and price.

For open water, I would stick with the X series. Wider and more beam making it more stable.

Bought my Xpress in 97 it is a 96 18.6 with a 150hp. I got the boat after sinking my glass boat on Fork on Feb 2 1997 (if you get the chance to do that DONT) when i got mine they had a 5yr hull waranty. I have fished from alot of different boats over the years and i realy like my Xpress as well as any i have fished from. I also got my boat at West in Mesquite the staff there know the boats they sell and will answer any questions you may have. If you can afford it get it rigged and powered with all the bells and whistles. The 90hp sound a little lite to me.

Bought my 2004 3 weeks ago. Maxed out the HP with the 90 Yammy.
