remember an old time place in downtown Fort Worth @ 1st & Main may have been called Greeks or Hamburgers walk up place man it was good I believe it was called Famous Hamburgers. Walked up to a window and ordered? Old greek guy and his son-in-law ran the place. That was the best burger ever! No special orders. You get it their way or no way!

And if I knew how to make those, I would be a rich man!!! How about Beef Burger of Belknap? You ever try that place? It was good too. The other great place was the Town and Country drug store on Grapevine Hwy. Used to eat lunch there several times a week when I was in high school.

no my Dad would take me to "Famous Hamburgers" when i went to work with him. what a treat I hear ya... My uncle used to work downtown and we I would go with my cousins to visit him now and again at lunch. Guess where we ate??? I used to work for the International truck dealer there on 35 just outta high school. I was a parts delivery driver. I found all of the good burger joints around, but that one and the drug store had the bestest burgers!

Tommy's on Lackland is still open as well as the one on Camp Bowie. Kincaids is still good too, they also have a stand at LaGrave field same burger too. It's hard to say which one is better between the 2 though. I may have to eat at one place one day and the other one the next to see which one I prefer.

Kincaids is the most over rated burger, meat has no flavor, I think pepole just like eating in the the old store.

Kincaids not as good as old days. We prefer Chapps. Several around town, but locally owned independent.
Bob I appreciate the TFF.
