Fishing is improving daily. Over the last week I have had success catching Crappie in the river area. Depths range from 3 to 12 feet, using plastic solid body jigs and nibbles. Fish have been hanging on the river bends, when the water temp gets to 57 the fish move to the shallower water. Have caught 6 crappie between 12 and 14 inches. Need to give it a try, very easy catch right now.

Thanks for the report Doug. Been wanting to get on Gtown for some time now.

Keep on fishing.

I love G-Town... Best night fishing crappie lake on the river... Lights work just awesome on this lake with it's clear water. Nothing like catching crappie and a few whites, hybrids and a few green trash fish...

Day time fishing takes a bit more skill due to the clear water, depth and underwater landscape then Granger but this little lake holds some good size crappie. It is much better protected from the high winds then Granger. Here of late I have been taking home some nice size fish in the range DougM posted.

Good to hear these reports. I am going to have to go give GT a try. I am new to the area and any tips would be appreciated.

Having good luck around Russell Park. Been catching fish close to the boat ramp. There are several brushpiles in that vicinity.
10-12 feet was the depth that produced fish.

Doug is right; I'd say the bite has started on Georgetown. Went out Sunday afternoon for a few hours and managed a few fish. Russell Park around the ramp and back towards the river. Brushpiles 8 to 10 feet.

Got to the lake about 3:30. Fished the same general area around the boat ramp and nearby coves. Still working at the same depths. Left with 13 keepers.
