Guys! When I went to Alan Henry in college I used to sit out there by myself with 5 rods and would kill them! Make sure that you cast to a corner, let it drop, and just chill! That depth seemed to be great for crappie and occasionally, on the drift, I would catch a bass. I sure miss those times!

Another weekend opportunity gone. I intended to be at AH yesterday. But, things happen. With the temps up yesterday, it must have been a beautiful day to be on the water.

Well I went out last night and took my wife as well. We caught more fish than Friday night, but still no keepers. Fished from 5:30 til 11. They still seem to be straggling through there slowly and they don't seem to be really stacking up at the crappie house. There was one keeper caught while we were there and there were about a dozen of us out there. The fish finder was showing groups about 56 feet down and another group about 37 foot. We were catching them about this depth as well so they are still really deep.

I used to fish there all the time in college (winter, summer, spring, fall.) Only one time did I ever do good in the crappie house. I mean I caught a bunch of small ones, but that doesnt count.

I caught 13 keepers one time in about 3 hours. Other than that the dock is great for bass, not crappie

I have had pretty good success in September/October when I go out there. Usually there aren't many fishing at that time which makes it great at that time of year.

nick lee, I sent you a pm.

We went out to the barge on Sat night and the fishing was slow. In 5 hours of fishing, I caught 1 keeper. I did not see many caught the whole time we were there.

Well I suppose I didn't miss out on much Saturday night, then. I really wanted to go, but thought I need to wait a week or two before they start moving.
