We did well at the Bend today and about to clean 17 whites.
Found out that one of the injured was a guy I went to high school with. Bad mess out there. Talked to my brother in law and he was about 6 miles from it in the gym at the high school and said it shook the goals and they were afraid they were about to fall out of the ceiling. Keep all the families in your prayers please.

Thanks for letting me join you all. I called him to ask what setup they used yesterday since John tricked me into going to the Bend instead of trout and they were over there fishing already. I was going to go by myself since John wasn't too interested in the trout. They were my first trout ever and it was a lot of fun once I used my tiny rod and reel so I could feel the bite better. I snuck back this evening right before dark and caught 2 more and a catfish til it got dark and they quit biting. I had a great time. Angela's doughbait is the bomb! We even got interviewed by Killeen Daily Herald while we were there so maybe they will put the kids pic in the paper. I hear someone John took today will be getting on the board. I figure I'll let them all get a chance to fish before I get serious and the good bite turns on, lol. Thanks again Rick and Angela. It was good to see you folks again. By the way John had the boga grip so I didn't loose it after all, lol.

I just need to figure out how to troll as well as the old men were doing. We had some success with little Rapala Shad trolling and larger spoons chunked as far as possible along the rock waterfall around from the small fall. Yall have a goodn hitting the sack after a shower.

I've just about come to the conclusion W4f can catch fish out of a muddy rut, with or without f4f.LOL
Those are some tasty critters right'ter. Good One!! You're right MrG! The Fools Presidents Day Fishing Report!Got to talk to George T and Fire Capt, nice seeing GT after a long break. Fire Capts new Fish Master CC looks really good, he was out trying out his electronics and parading around the lake. LOL Very nice boat Matthew! Took Calvin and Ben out hoping Calvin could get on the board, he did it. We ended up catching 4 Hybrids, 15 whites, 1 Crappie and 1 Blue gil, yep it went for the slab.

Way ta go John. Congratulations Calvin! Good talkin' with ya. Finally figured I had to turn that radio power down from 25 watts to low power 1 watt when up close so's yall'd hear more'n a blast a static. Glad yall finally got into some. I got nada up the river. Kept seein' um but couldn't gettum to bite. I trolled, slabbed and drifted some shad up around cow creek. Ended up with a big cooler fulla ice and two whites. Didja get those where I left ya or did you go somewhere's else? Saw and met FireCapt. Nice new boat....beeyuteeful!
