I was at the steps this afternoon and caught 1 small male with 3 1/2 hours of fishing. It was really slow today and seemed to be a tough day for everyone down there. The only people that had a stringer full were using minnows, and they only had about 5 fish. I used cranks, jigs, roostertails, and road runners.

I fished the steps yesterday morning the fishing was slow probably due to the sudden drop in temp. from the night before. Caught 3 small males on roadrunners. If the temp stays stable the fish should be there this weekend.

I'm heading out there in an hour. I'll be the tall guy in camo-waders probably fishing by the gravel bar. If you see me, say hey; name is Mike.

Fished for about 4 hours between 10am and 2pm. Started at the steps and fished towards the lake all the way down to the second sand bar. Easly 100 folks fishing and several boats trolling buy. Saw a couple of short whites caught and kept. Only two decent fish. Topless girls were no where to be found.

Fished Saturday from 6:30am to 10:30am and only caught one nice white, it was a female. The fish haven't really started running yet, but there are as many people fishing as during the peak times in past years. I can't imagine what it is going to be like in a couple weeks. There were crappie being caught right out from the steps. The white bass I saw on stringers were bigger than I have seen in past years at Granger. The people that did have fish on their stringers had 1 to 5. Saw one stringer of 10, but I think he may have been fishing overnight. How far down would you say the 2nd sandbar is from the steps?
