I'm going out tomorrow. A buddy and I will be there around 7:30 or so.

Went to San Gabriel and Willis Creek on Sunday. Fishing was slim and far between. A few males, and from the looks of other stringers, That's what others had too. One fella had about 7 on his stringer and had been there all day. Of those seven, 3 were too small, and I really hope he got popped for it. White bass are too small to be keeping illegals, and one of them couldn't have been over 8 inches. I wish I would have caught him at the river, but he had already made it up the stairs.

FishSlayer07, take 95 North out of Taylor. After your cross over the river take your first right (CR 347). You'll go over a set of train tracks, and shortly after this you'll start to see cars parked on the side of the road. There's a staircase nearby that'll take you down to the river.

SaltyDawg88, I have a trip planned in 2 weeks to go w/ a old friend from Austin. He told me last year San Gabriel was the hot spot for White Bass this time of year.

It is a great place, but I think the Whites and crappie for that fact, are waiting for some rain. Maybe we'll get the rain the weather men are predicting and they will really turn on and start their runs! Good luck! I think I'll stick to my boat. Takes too much walking for me. :-D And Yes, I am lazy!

Check out that link I put on there. http://maps.google.com/?ie=UTF8&ll=30.651139,-97.428759&spn=0.003235,0.005257&t=h&z=18
You can actually map out directions to that spot with google maps. I35 to 29 then take a Left when it "T's" off and it is the first right. Just a warning.... It will be packed! Good luck!
