I got there past three Had little wet-line time. Hopefully I can go back again next weekend with minners, maybe the weekend after that too if I have my driver's license by then. Next time I'm definitely going in the early AM. Too much traffic from Carrollton on the way there.

Kayak Guy, Yeah dont give up on Denton Creek, Yesterday was a bad day out there for catching. I also like to fish Hickory creek, Hows it treating u?Have not fished it this year.
Fishin Forever, The gun thing is bad very bad. They need to find the gun range down the street. I believe that it is illegal. At best very dangerous. Experienced the same problem several times. Saw 3 guys on ATVs with shoulder harness full 12guage shells and shotguns. I have always thought is was Illegal to carry any firearms out there. Guess not. Hunting is one thing... Target practice on beer cans with alot people around and Kids should be Handled. Maybe some game wardens can do something about it. My 2 cents

Yeah, i saw the three people on atv's yesterday. It's not illegal to carry I'm pretty sure.. You can carry a rifle or shotgun in downtown Dallas legally. But shooting is a different story. I see cops driving by all the time. I should talk to one/get ahoud of the warden like you said b/c it's just getting ridiculous.

My Bad, The only reson I say that is I encountered a game warden a few years back out at Denton Creek and He got engaged with someone else outthere that was carrying a handgun and told him that was illegal on this corp property. That is all I have heard from Warden...
Anyhoo- Yeah I hope someone puts a Lid on those Jars outthere sure does make for some scary fishing or ducking. Cause those guys whoever they be shot off enough rounds to kill a couple elephants. Plus that place has got enough trash they dont ever pick up the hulls. I was going to talk to those guys yesterday but then I relized who was holding the guns. So I ran away like a little girl. JK Ok Im Done whinning Next time there out I will call the Warden seems like this is reqular weekend outing for these guys.

yeah it may not be allowed. Theres signs on the east side saying no firearms.. with bullet holes all over it. But, i don't know about the west side. I don't know if it's public land or what..
Do you know if it's illegal to park on the side of the road like some do? I park down on that trail but i know some park on the side of the road. Just wondering.

From what i have been told you can park on the side of the road as long as you dont park within a certain distance of any of the bridges. That distance is marked with the white diagnol lines.

Fished it today. Found a deep hole and dropped a small wildeye in to them. I was getting hits but no hook ups. They were small green trash fish. I down sized and ended up with 35 before I got out of there.

Hit it again yesterday evening.(East side of 377) There was my group of four and one other fisherman. We caught one (keeper) in two hours. The other guy did not stay long. Guess the front created lock jaw on em.
